TAXON: RAUCH expands winter service spreader program in top segment

With the new TAXON single disc winter service spreader, RAUCH Landmaschinenfabrik GmbH is expanding its own winter service range with a salt, sand and grit spreader with fully automatic screw feeder and innovative EcoTron spreading computer for professional use.

In contrast to the well-known RAUCH AXEO winter service spreader with rotating agitator, the new TAXON precision disc spreader feeds the spreading material through a hydraulically driven screw conveyor to the stainless steel spreading disc.

The advantage: Even problematic spreading material, such as wet salt, is fed continuously and reliably through the vertical side walls and the auger and precisely distributed by the spreading disc, which is also hydraulically driven. This enables maximum operational safety and the even, clean emptying of the container when it matters. With a maximum container volume of 1,500 litres, a maximum payload of 2,500 kg and a remotely adjustable working width of 1-8 m, TAXON meets the highest requirements for winter service.

The spreading symmetry can be aligned in the centre or to one side using the standard manual or electrically remote-controlled VariSpread.

The innovative EcoTron on-board computer enables simple, clear operation and monitoring of the entire spreading process. Feeding is speed-dependent and fully automatic. When the machine comes to a standstill, for example at a traffic light, the TAXON automatically stops spreading material.

Using two large rotary knobs, both the application rate and the working width can be conveniently and quickly adapted to the respective ice, snow and road conditions. In conjunction with the optional EcoTron plus operating terminal, electronic spread pattern adjustment is possible, which means that all operating data is also professionally saved, documented and analysed.

The lavish Supreme C5-M paint, the high stainless steel content, high-quality components and the accommodation of the hydraulic and electronic controls in a watertight, central protective box enable a long service life of the machine. The eco-hydraulic block perfectly rounds off the machine’s advantages with 20% energy savings and reverse polarity protection for efficiency and sustainability.

The standard LED lighting and the optional rotating beacon as well as the dimmable LCD EcoTron display ensure maximum safety at night and in poor visibility.

A standard tarpaulin protects the spreading material from the weather and splash water.
